DARE TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR

Let us first start by defining who an entrepreneur is. An entrepreneur is a person who takes risks, puts in effort & perseveres to achieve the end result.  If today we think why is the US more prosperous than India? Is it because we Indians are less smart than Americans? No, Indians are universally acknowledged for their intelligence. Is it because they have greater resources?  No, India is as much if not more rich in natural resources. Then, why is the US more prosperous than India? The US is more prosperous simply because they have more entrepreneurs.

If India needs to exterminate poverty, we have to grow. To grow, we have to employ the unemployed.  NASSCOM and CII have estimated that if India wants to be a developed country by 2020, it needs to create 10 million jobs.

The industrial set-up is expanding, but not at the rate that can employ such large numbers. Is there any solution to this grave problem? Fortunately, YES, the answer is entrepreneurship.

But, why do we need entrepreneurs, because they create jobs as per TiE (The IndUS Entrepreneurs, a non-profit organization, promoting entrepreneurship), each entrepreneur creates 30 jobs. An entrepreneur creates jobs, setting stage for a flourishing economy, unlike an individual, a job seeker, a burden to the economy. An important factor influencing FDI, from developed nations to developing nations is the concentration of entrepreneurship. FDI is directly proportional to entrepreneurship.

So, the message is clear; we need more entrepreneurs. It is high time, the government realizes that only and only entrepreneurship can help it grow at the high rate and rethinks its policies.

Haapy go lucky :)

Just learnt some interesting ways to stay happy.. and suddenly, realised.. wow

As my internship is over &  I still have a lot of time to square up with the usual schedule ,in this spare time I can do a lot of things ..specifically a lot of productive things but, am I seriously utilizing time effectively ?? naaaaah... but then what to be done to overcome this? I analyzed my schedule and my Research (:P)  says, I spend most of my time on unessential numbers !  Some or the other  number wakes me up (tu abhi tak so rhe hai ?? ),as the day progresses ,numbers too ,people calling for counseling- kabhi career to kabhi admissions kuch nhi mila toh to take college updates ..but then yeah I do have few solicited calls and a few must attends. But then what to do to with this problem ?Simple...

 Throw out nonessential numbers.

Well I have really stopped caring about a lot of numbers, starting from the ones I have in my cell phone: D No one is allowed to disturb me, if I don't want.. Gone are the days of dependency on phone, when my pulse used to stop if my phone hasn’t rung for more than 30 minutes(OMG no msg no call since long). And trust me it works superb. I used to wonder, how people go to sleep without having phone next to their pillow. But now I know that it does not show weakness of your social network, but the strength of your independence J

No chatting-In addition to numbers now a days I have also turned off my Google chat as In my graveyard shift, I spend most of my time on line so it is better to do some productive surfing than just asking hi wassup?(aur bata…) It’s tough but try it some time :P it feels to me like I am living on a hill station (cool calm silent on line life )with no neighbor nobody to knock your door (no Pings) you can explore the beauty (explore the knowledge on web )

Now, I have a lot of time for a lot of things like right now m writing this post, have joined dance class for 1week( crash course ;) Some in house parties etc .. :)

Whats your Rashi ?

I’ve never been too into astrology. I never really took it seriously. It was always just something fun to think about. But now a days I check my horoscope online daily and I get impressed when something is dead on.

As usual I was looking through the sites and just got stuck looking online at what  site has  to say about different signs. You know the Zodiacal Sign of Pisces commences on February 20th, but for seven days, it does not come into its full power until about February 27th. From this date onwards it is in full strength until March 20th ..So although I m not a complete Piscean as mine is on 26 th day of Feb, but I was so impressed with how much of a Pisces I really am :D

Here are some of the things I read that are just so true about me and Pisces that it's scary.

Pisces are common as inventors, writers, musicians, painters, and dancers. Um, yes! writing blog, Ya although I have few posts as this is my start up but then too I own 2 blogs. I am definitely a writer.

They are more readily concerned with the problems of others than with their own
. Sad but true. Especially when I'm in a relationship, I always put others before myself. It's a good quality sometimes, but I do tend to get too wrapped up in the issues of others.

They sometimes exist emotionally rather than rationally.. Not always  but when it comes to close ones I do get driven by emotions - I live by my emotions and I wear my emotions on my sleeve.

The nine-to-five life is not for them.Um Not having much to speak upon this but yeah sometimes I love  making my own schedule and doing my own thing. It  is definitely what I want to do.

Pisceans tend to withdraw into a dream world. I literally do live in my own world; A world full of ambitions .

They are nevertheless intensely loyal and home-loving and will remain faithful. I saw this one and laughed because my friends always jokes that I'm a person who can get nostalgic for her family even living at Home ..lol..."I couldn't even think of living  away from home for my MBA I came crawling back to Bhilai where I now am so incredibly happy. I love my family and home more than anything.

Maybe this whole Zodiac thing isn't as ridiculous as I originally thought? Hm, something to definitely think about.

What's your sign? Do you take it seriously/think that the qualities of that sign exemplify who you are? Do you check your horoscope frequently?

Bhilai: I really love Bhilai  and couldn't imagine a better city for me to live in. In the past week, I've been prancing around the city @ times and I love it. All the different areas of the city are so diverse and unique. There's always something new and exciting to find. My new favorite place in the city? NN Park!

Cartoons: I know it sounds lame, but as you all might not know, I love Toons. You know now a days I m on with Disney's Phineas and Ferb -Each day the pair devise ambitious, involved plans and inventions to stave off boredom these two toons are just awesome

Pictures: Looking through old pictures just makes me so happy. I love taking trips down memory lane and just remembering how good my life is most of the time. I definitely take way too many pictures, but I'm so glad to have them and when I'm old, I think I'll be thrilled.

Writing: I just love doing this, writing randomly what ever comes to my mind .Writing some times to tell my friends that how special they are for me. Writing sometimes when I am overwhelmed with joy or sorrow. Writing Sometimes on my blog although I m Newly Blogging, but blogging really does make me so happy Although, this is my 11th post. 11! That in itself makes me happy :D

Take a moment today and think of 5 things that make you happy. What are they?

Internship Day 5

The  1st stage in my internship has really been focused on earning to Organize & Select. To be more specific, I have to compile a list of prospective advertiser (for Impact Feature-MP&CG special edition), and create a master excel spreadsheet with all of their contact information and Ad Details. In fact now I can say spreadsheets is my forte. So the experience has thus been quite valuable nonetheless! To date, I have compiled just under 300 advertisers in this spreadsheet[;)]

By now, I settle into the daily rhythm of working. In regards to the databases that I have been working with, I have made a number of different queries to my guiding head to try and find the right prospect and now it is much easier.

Stay tuned, for I have no doubt that by the next post I will have started contacting people!

Peace and progress,

Nidhi

Internhip

Hello!

This being the first post I am actually writing some real blog stuff,Prior to this It was just a couple of  poems and articles.

This summer I am doing an internship with “INDIA TODAY GROUP “I don’t think that this name needs an introduction ..but still a formality - INDIA TODAY was launched in 1975. And in just a few years, it became the leading newsmagazine in the country. Now, with editions in five languages, it has become the most widely read publication in Indiaa position it has held for over a decadewith a circulation of 1.1 million every week and a readership of more than 15 million.

. I will be serving as a Development Associate with India Today Group, working for business growth for Impact feature for India Today Group of publication. My job would be to identify Revenue resources. Identify and facilitate potential clients to advertise in the publication.

The main initiative I will be launching for the company is a new Magazine named Laugh Today. Do I need to mention that the above line is a joke…well you can laugh now.lol!

This project will likely last me the entire summer; however, if I finish this early, I will be moving away from my Den for some time ,just for a change b4 the start of  regular sessions. I think I have spared enough of details on Internship for now, and we’ll come back to it later in the summer! Well, that’s it for now, be sure to check back in a couple weeks to find out how the development -How the  Laugh Today (and my internship) are going [:P ] !

Peace and progress,

Nidhi Singh

Good Bye Till We Meet Again..

As I come to remember the bygone year,
When life seemed like a bed of rose,
For us the wheel of time just froze.

5 day Induction to the outbound hues
Project reviews to campus interviews,
Presentations to late night classes,
Friday meetings and the gathering rehearsals,
T T table to volley ball matches,
We enjoyed We enjoyed all of it,
It Never made us tired a bit.

I want you all to remember us
So don't you dare shed a tear
Because everyone here today
Deserves to have some fun
we have fond memories of everyone

But the thing we will miss the most
Are our seniors we hold so dear
And the seniors we hold near
Let’s exchange hugs and final goodbyes,

Who knows what destiny holds for us,
But the cherished moments of college days,
Will remain in hearts for ever.

An entrepreneur creates jobs, setting stage for a flourishing economy, unlike an individual, a job seeker, a burden to the economy. Managers employed by large corporations use their creativity and intellect to make the Gates, Buffets and the Murdochs richer, whereas entrepreneurs make themselves and their nations richer.

Entrepreneurs realize the tremendous demand for goods abroad and help to market the surplus. This will make the Indian market, export competitive and at the same time, the MADE IN INDIA brand more acceptable. The surplus footstock, which would have been otherwise rotting in the government storehouse, can be exported, thus serving to earn foreign exchange. The government gets rid of the excess stock while the exporter earns revenue, leading to a win-win situation.
